Study Description
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is conducting a Feasibility Study to evaluate the addition of continuous right-turn lanes throughout the project corridor without acquiring additional right-of-way. At the conclusion of the Feasibility Study, the FDOT will conduct a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study for US 19 (SR 55) from the Pinellas County Line to the Hernando County Line in Pasco County. The total length of this project is approximately 19.7 miles.
Proposed Improvements
The Feasibility Study shall recommend locations of continuous right-turn lanes while considering capacity needs, costs, and potential effects. The PD&E Study will develop, in addition to the at-grade continuous right-turn lane concept, conceptual designs, costs, and environmental effects of providing interchanges along the US 19 Study corridor. The PD&E Study will also address pedestrian needs and accommodations.
